 Donna Quante has worked in television production since 1972. She started at Maryland Public Television where she honed her skills for 6 years. Moving to Los Angeles in 1978, she worked for ABC-TV for the next 8 years. She spent most of her time operating a camera on "Benson" receiving an emmy for her craft in 1985. The next year, she would receive two more, one for "The Golden Girls" and one for the 1984 Summer Olympics in L.A.Moving back to the East Coast to be closer to family, she commuted to New York City to spend 5 years on "The Cosby Show". This was followed by 4 years on "Spin City" learning a new craft in operating a film pedestal camera. In the sitcom off season Donna spent 18 years in the Baltimore Orioles dugout running camera for the local sports production. That crew received 2 local emmys for their baseball coverage. Donna also traveled around the country for music and comedy shows for HBO and PBS. When her last sitcom in NY (Hope and Faith) was canceled, Donna decided it was time to take a new challenge. Her love of SIberian Huskies lead her to be a recreational musher. She began running dogs in 1975. In 2006, Donna moved to Willow, Alaska. She had already produced a movie, "Pretty Sled Dogs", and was looking forward to the adventure of a new life and new productions in Alaska. Since then, she has produced, "See You In Nome!" and is currently working on the edit of the All Alaska Sweepstakes.  |
